GET READY!
The 5th Annual Dark Sky Festival at Harmony is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2008.
Enclosed you will find exhibitor information regarding this year's festival. Please reply no later than March 22, 2008 so that we can plan for adequate space and support. You may register using this form.
With the support of the International Dark Sky Association, various Florida-based astronomy clubs, the Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Florida Travel & Life magazine, we expect a significant boost in attendance. We had approximately 2,800 attend our Festival last year and anticipate this year’s attendance to exceed 3,500 people.
With an outstanding program, including a free concert by nationally renowned Motown sensation RARE EARTH (“Get Ready”;“I Just Want To Celebrate”), telescopes set up all over the town where patrons can discover the vast universe, and lots of other activities, the 5th Annual Dark Sky Festival promises to provide attendees with a unique evening of unmatched fun.
Still, as always, we are staying true to the festival's original mission of educating the public about the many values a dark night sky offers and the need to protect this resource.

:: SPONSORSHIP INFO ::
The 5th Annual Dark Sky Festival at Harmony is scheduled for April 5, 2008. Created to call attention to the beauty of the night sky and the importance of protecting it from being lost to the wasteful lighting practices that are so common in America's cities, the festival provides an excellent education forum as well as a unique outdoor family event.
The festival is held in the Town of Harmony, a planned conservation community located between St. Cloud and Melbourne on US Highway 192 that is designed with dark sky friendly public lighting, as well as other measures intended to protect and conserve natural resources.
Stargazing though telescopes with knowledgeable guides who will help folks understand what they're seeing, a wide range of exhibits, informative speakers, a kids zone and plenty of live music in the outdoor amphitheater, food and fun all combine to make the 4th Annual Dark Sky Festival an event that is truly out of this world.
This year we are proud to offer a limited number of sponsorship opportunities. We hope you'll be a part of our star studded, astronomical event!
